Jamesetta Cleveland is the mom of 3 multi-sport athletes. She is an Army brat, a college football mom, a sports family manager, an athlete’s rights advocate and a recovering perfectionist. While going through the recruiting process with her children, Jamesetta found there were not a lot of resources for parents – especially for single moms like her- who wanted to raise sons & daughters who realized sports was what they did not who they were. After her son graduated from the Air Force Academy, she founded Sports Mom University Consulting to give sports families the tools they need to understand the business side of sports. She helps sports families understand who they are and how they prefer to show up in the world, so that they can establish an identity outside of sports and make strategic decisions in 3 key areas: academics, athletics and entrepreneurship. She currently resides in Tennessee where she spends her time educating sports families, eating hot chicken and advocating for the rights of athletes.
