Chapter Leadership Council Guidelines & Expectations
#1
We are excited you have elected to join our Chapter Leadership Council. We encourage you to use your expertise, relationships and knowlege to help grow the chapter and convert “Passion To Action.”
#2
We want everyone to have a positive experience on the Chapter Leadership Council .
#3
Our goal is to collaborate to make meaningful change and support organizations and growth efforts in your community.
#4
Additional requirements and expectations of your Chapter may be established and agreed upon by your Chapter Leadership Council during the course of its tenure.
#5
Chapter Meetings will be held either in person, or via Zoom (or similar platform) or both, at the discretion of the Leadership Council.
#6
At the outset, we will plan that each Leadership Council meeting will be one hour in length until your Chapter determines the best format to accomplish its goals.
#7
Chapters may decide to create sub-Committees to handle certain tasks. The Committee Members can be individuals outside of the Leadership Council and can serve as a good training ground for prospective Leadership Council Members.
#8
Our goal is to ensure that we get diverse representation on each Chapter Leadership Council so that we get many different viewpoints, types of organizations, levels of experience, size of organizations, budgets and other factors. We recognize that there is no magic formula as to who will make a good Leadership Council Member, but our aspiration is people who are committed to make meaningful change.
#9
The initial term for each Leadership Council Member is one (1) year.
#10
To be eligble to apply to become a member of the Leadership Council, each person must be an Ambassador of the Sports Philanthropy Network.
As leaders coming together to set the tone and the strategy for the Chapter, we must each demonstrate our commitment to being involved in the Sports Philanthropy Network and supporting the Chapter initiatives and agenda. We want to build stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities.
#11
We recognize that not everyone will agree with each personal position of other Chapter Leadership Council Members. We expect everyone to remain civil and tolerant, support the efforts of the Chapter and promote the work of the Chapter.
#12
Members of the Chapter Leadership Council are free to resign at any time. If you find that you cannot continue the time commitment or expectations, please let us know via email.
#13
The Sports Philanthropy Network has the sole and exclusive right to select and/or remove members of the Leadership Council. Neither the selection nor removal process will be taken lightly and the Sports Philanthropy Network will endeavor to resolve any disputes among members of the Leadership Council in a timely and peaceful fashion.
#14
I understand that Sports Philanthropy Network will promote my involvement in the Leadership Council and I grant the Sports Philanthropy Network a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use my name, image and likeness on any of its websites, marketing materials, social media and any promotional materials as it relates to my participation in the Leadership Council.
