Mission

The Mets team and the Mets Foundation are dedicated to give back to the New York Community by offering a variety of youth programs and working with partners to ensure those struggling financially have access to basic human needs including food and warm clothes.

Programs

Ya Gotta Read!– The Mets and Delta Airlines partner annually to encourage more than 24,0000 students across Queens and Brooklyn to read every night for six weeks corresponding with the Mets Spring Training. The more a student reads, they win prizes of increasing value including a pair of Mets tickets!

Junior Mets Clinic- Presented by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, every year hundreds of children from youth baseball organizations get the chance to run drills with Mets players and coaches.

Tru32- Steven Matz since 2015 honors members of NYPD, FDNY, and the military by inviting them to City Field for a special day and tickets to a home game.

Coat Drive- The Mets and New York Cares collected more than 1,300 coats to give to those in need from fans, offering two tickets for donators for the 14th year.

Food Drive- Collecting over 2,600 pounds for a local hunger-relief organization, the Mets and Hain Celestial collaborated by offering those that donated a significant amount of non-perishables tickets to a Mets game.

Project ALS- For the 16th year, the Mets hosted the “Night to Believe,” raising money for Project ALS which seeks treatments and a cure for the disease through research.

enCourage Kids- The Mets and ARAMARK host enCourage Kids Night annually to help children fight health battles. The organizations do so by offering over 700 children a night to remember and raising money for the Starlight Foundation to help other ill children through their battles.
