St. Louis Cardinals Spotlight

The Cardinals Care Foundation

Operational Goals:

The Cardinals Care Foundation is committed to making sure that there is a connection between fans of the popular baseball team and the players to help children in the community.

Programs:

Redbird Rookies: The Cardinals Care Foundation started this free and noncompetitive coed baseball/softball program for children between the ages of 5-13 years. This program works towards teaching its participants key traits like integrity, self-esteem, teamwork, and leadership which will of course be of benefit to the youth in the future.

Youth Baseball Fields: As part of their commitment to supporting children in the community, Cardinals Care builds or renovates baseball fields all around the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Because of this, the youth now have an accessible place to practice

Winter Warm-Up: This virtual event is another way Cardinals Care is connecting baseball fans and players. This program gives fans a way to learn about the experiences of the players lives on and off the field.

Educational Programs

Committed to making a difference in schools and in the community, Cardinal Care offers a variety of programs and resources tailored for educators, students and families. Programs like Budgeting Buddies is one of the featured programs and it is focused on teaching financial literacy so that there isn’t just an understanding of money concepts but also an awareness of how to apply those concepts to real life.
