The Power of Sport
The protests have taken center stage for this past week. Unfortunately, we have seen opportunists and looters who have diluted the true message with their activities.
The core message remains. Black Lives Matter.
We must do better as a society. We must listen. We must act.
On Giving Tuesday, we launched our initiative to support Diversity, Equality and Inclusion. This is one of our core values and one we believe overlays everything we do at the Sports Philanthropy Network.
Last week we announced a Town Hall Meeting on Racism, Tolerance and Reform. We want this to be the launching pad of an ongoing conversation and task force that will work in this space to create meaningful and lasting changes in the policing system and beyond.
We hope that you will join us for this special event on July 1, 2020. You can see the current lineup of participants here, but we are continuing to recruit more voices and more perspectives in order to create a diverse conversation.
All donations between now and July 1, 2020 will be earmarked towards programs under our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion initiative. We encourage you to give generously to allow us to work to make meaningful change and to support the many organizations that are doing terrific work in this space. #SportsPhilanthropyNeverSleeps
As we head into the next stage of recovery, your support of our mission to build stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities through sports will be more important than ever. So many kids are at home with sports, without equipment and without the access to facilities. By looking at all of the ways you can support our initiatives, we are confident that you can find a way to contribute to our mission.
The easiest way you can do this is by becoming an Insider of the Sports Philanthropy Network or making a donation to support these specific initiatives.
