SPORTS PHILANTHROPY NETWORK ANNOUNCES DATE FOR 2019 SPORTS PHILANTHROPY WORLD CONGRESS
The Sports Philanthropy Network has announced the Inaugurual Sports Philanthropy World Congress Conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois on August 9, 2019. The Sports Philanthropy World Congress is designed to bring together the best minds in sports philanthropy, allowing participants to share their knowledge, ideas, vision and passion.
“We are very excited to launch the Sports Philanthropy World Congress,” said Roy Kessel, founder of the Sports Philanthropy Network. “We believe that there is an enormous need and desire for greater collaboration in the sports philanthropy industry. We are proud to take the lead role in launching this ambitious event.”
“Having worked in the sports industry for over 20 years, I have seen the power sports have to make a positive impact in the community,” said Kessel. “Sports can drive social change, impact underserved communities, breakdown barriers and fight for social justice. We believe that by bringing together the leaders in the sports philanthropy industry, we will facilitate greater communication and interaction among the leadership and staff of these amazing organizations. There are so many outstanding organizations who are already doing terrific work, and we want to be able to connect them with the resources that they need to grow and thrive. Younger organizations need a different set of resources and tools and by participating in the World Congress we can help them harness the relationships they need to fuel their growth.”
“The Sports Philanthropy World Congress will consist of panels and presentations on a variety of sports philanthropy topics including: fundraising, board development, donor engagement, strategy and vision, program creation, impact measurement and much more.”
“We look forward to hosting this event,” said Roy Kessel, Founder of the Sports Philanthropy Network. “Based on the early demand we have for our speaking slots, we know there is a lot of appetite for this type of event and we are excited to create a model that will grow over the next decade.
