November Newsletter

So Much To Be Thankful For!

As we head into the month of November, our attention usually turns to the holidays.  Thanksgiving is coming up in a few weeks and then we head into the full-blown holiday season.

While most of you reading this have plenty to eat, warm shelter and more than enough clothes, please take a few moments to remember those who are less fortunate.

Below my note, you will see links to Blessings in a Backpack and Basket Brigade, two organizations that help people through the difficult holiday time period when it seems that everyone is celebrating, spending money and receiving gifts.  Imagine what would be going through your mind as you observe the excess in today’s society.

I hope you will consider reaching out to volunteer, donate or support these worthwhile organizations.
The year of 2020 is lining up to be a special year for our network.  We have so many exciting plans ahead of us:

  • Special Sports Philanthropy Network Travel which will allow you to volunteer with great organizations.
  • Monthly webinars aimed at providing more insight into fundraising, grant writing, impact measurement and much more.
  • A ticketing platform that will enable you to support the Sports Philanthropy Network and your other favorite causes.

As always, we want to hear from you.  What else are you looking for? What additional tools and support can we provide to help your organization grow?

We are pleased to have you as part of our network.  We encourage you to take a look at our Event Calendar, subscribe to our Podcasts, read our Weekly Sports Philanthropy Newsstand and interact with us on social media.  We love hearing from you and learning about your upcoming projects and events.

Our new Membership levels are now listed on the site. We encourage you to join now and give yourself a way to affiliate with our network and engage with our members throughout the year.

In addition, registration for Sports Philanthropy WORLD 2020 is now open. Our special Super Early Bird rate is available only through December 31, 2019! We have already had great interest and look forward to seeing you there.

We are always available if you would like to reach us via email at SPN@sportsloop.com.

We are happy to  schedule a time to discuss your ideas, aspirations and challenges;   Our network has a tremendous depth of talent and we would be happy to put you in touch with the right people.

Look for details about our December 10, 2019 holiday reception and panel coming soon!!

Have a grateful month!
