Mission
The LAFC Foundation furthers the Club’s mission of uniting the world’s city through the world’s game, bringing joy to people, and being a force for good in their community by supporting critical programs and bringing the indomitable Black & Gold spirit wherever they go.
Work in Action
The LAFC does work in many ways. They build futsal courts and use these play spaces as a jumping off point for deeper impact, including coaching and mentoring. Their stadium serves as an invaluable community resource, hosting everything from vaccination pop-ups and blood drives to food banks and back-to-school fundraisers. They also use the power of soccer for good, welcoming their partners into their stadium and the joy that comes with being part of the Black & Gold community.
Programming & Education
Summer Book Club: The Los Angeles Football Club and University of Phoenix invite students in the Greater Los Angeles Area to read their way to the stadium. As a part of LAFC’s Summer Book Club, students must read one (1) book and write an essay.
At Home Activities: This program allows kids and adults to download free activities from the team’s website to keep everyone busy during times of Covid-19.
Health & Well-being
LAFC Fit: The Los Angeles Football Club and Kaiser Permante partnered to challenge Angelenos of all ages to practice a healthy, active lifestyle over 30 days. A downloadable calendar is provided.
Events
Month of Giving: LAFC invites fans and supporters to join the Club as a ‘Force For Good’ in the Los Angeles community by celebrating LAFC’s ‘July Month of Giving’. Throughout the month of July, the Black & Gold host numerous volunteer opportunities and community activations encouraging LAFC fans to give back to their incredible community.
LAFC Volunteer Corps: The LAFC Volunteer Corps looks to active members of the Black & Gold community to truly be a force for good in the greater Los Angeles area. The Club organizes community service events that incorporate players, coaches, staff, and fans working shoulder to shoulder to create a positive impact.
