MISSION: Ignite an everlasting Spark and unite a community around the euphoria sport kindles. Relentlessly persue innovation, growth, and impact by striving to become better than the day before.

PROGRAMS:

Hats Off!– “Hats Off” is a 3-part mentorship program that caters to high school women’s basketball seniors. These women are nominated by their coach(es) as outstanding individuals that ‘led the charge’ on and off the court. The program’s goal is to provide a memorable experience to those sidelined by the current pandemic in the space in which the Sparks excel: in women, basketball and business.

C.O.O. Of The Day– The Los Angeles Sparks are empowering local high school girls as part of their #WeAreGirls campaign with the C.O.O For The Day program. At each home game, a student shadows as the honorary C.O.O, tours the STAPLES Center, sits court-side, and learns valuable networking and industry skills from the franchise’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Danita Johnson. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for young students.

Adopt-A-Team– The LA Sparks Adopt-A-Team Program is a local initiative to help teams, coaches and parents motivate youth, provide professional basketball role models and create unforgettable team bonding experiences. The Adopt-A-Team Program promotes well-being, hard work and fun through WNBA Champion LA Sparks basketball games and unique fan experiences

JR. Sparks– Come join the exclusive Los Angeles Sparks Youth Basketball Clinic Program. Youth between the ages of 5-17 are trained by premier coaches in basketball and life skills. Included in the fee is registration to the program and LA Sparks gear and gifts!

Lead With Light Internship- The LA Sparks’ #WeAreGirls Lead With Light program is geared towards providing professional development opportunities to local high schoolers, college-aged individuals, and graduate students. The Sparks look to pair mentors and mentees looking to develop and learn skills in different professional work environments from sports, entertainment, business, philanthropy, health and more. By exposing students to various professions and mentors, they can spark their interest in new passions and new careers.
