Mission: The mission of the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is to support three main areas of need: homelessness, indigent healthcare and children’s programs of all types, including education and youth baseball and softball field building and renovation, outreach programs and equipment. In addition the Foundation has created strategic programs that address the needs of our community including veterans, police, teachers, firefighters and first responders- just to name a few.
Fundraising Events and Programs:
Evening on the Diamond:
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation marquee fundraising event, Evening on the Diamond has quickly become one of the top fundraising events in the Valley. Taking place on the baseball diamond, the event features a red-carpet reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, an awards presentation, live musical entertainment, and more. The event raises funds for Arizona charities and non-profit organizations.
Diamondbacks Celebrity Golf Classic:
Each Veteran’s Day weekend, the Arizona Diamondbacks host the annual D-backs Celebrity Golf Classic – A Salute to Veterans. Since the tournament’s inaugural event in 2011, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation has donated more than $1 million to non-profit organizations and programs that embrace and improve the lives of our Military heroes.
Diamondbacks Race Against Cancer:
Each spring, the Arizona Diamondbacks host the D-backs Race Against Cancer presented by Dignity Health. The 5k race and 1-mile Family Fun Walk begins and ends at Chase Field. All event proceeds support Arizona nonprofits that provide screening, treatment and support for those dealing with cancer.
Mystery Ball:
Support the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and receive an autographed baseball from one of your favorite Arizona Diamondbacks players. Mystery Ball events are hosted during select games at Chase Field throughout the season and all funds raised at the events are used to support youth sports and education initiatives.
Diamondback Authentics:
D-backs Authentics offers a wide variety of game-used jerseys, caps, bats, baseballs, helmets and more for purchase with all proceeds benefiting the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.
David Peralta Fund for Venezuela:
Always on David Peralta’s mind is his home country of Venezuela where family, friends and neighbors are struggling due to a lack of medical supplies and resources in a country devastated by recent unrest. Fans can join the effort by supporting David with charitable contributions that will provide medical supplies and aid to Venezuela.
Through their philanthropic efforts, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation have made charitable contributions totaling more than $70 million to non-profit organizations and charitable programs across Arizona.
