Super Bowl 57 Radio Row: Artis Stevens

Artis Stevens, President and CEO, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Join us on Radio Row as Sports Philanthropy Network President Roy Kessel and Vice President Kayla Bradham sit down with Artis Stevens, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Born from justice, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has a long-term goal to create equity in children’s lives. Young boys and girls, especially those who did not grow up in a two-parent household, could need mentorship, guidance, leadership in their lives. They are able to develop long-lasting relationships with people involved in this organization. Artis Stevens and Nate Burleson believe it is important for children to have a safe space. They need access and opportunity.

Stevens says, “We are really focused, as an organization, in talking about how we create much more in terms of mentorship. We have 30,000 kids, today, on our waiting list.”

Most of the children on the waiting list are boys, and most of them are boys of color; Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking to attract more men to this organization. How will they do it? They want to create a platform to boost involvement. The goal of the platform is to elevate and lift voices and actions.

Big Draft! A very simple concept, with a very powerful execution. While the NFL is drafting its next round of players, Big Brothers Big Sisters is drafting its next round of mentors.

Landing the CEO and President positions in 2020, Artis Stevens wants to expand the organization’s opportunities to as many children as possible.
