St. Louis Blues Spotlight

MISSION: The St. Louis Blues are proud to support the community through a variety of in-game charitable activities, ticket & memorabilia donations, educational programs and special events. Blues players, coaches and front office staff contribute their time and resources each season by participating in many community programs and charity events.

 PROGRAMS:

Play it Safe: Play it Safe is a collaboration between the St. Louis Blues and the Drug Enforcement Administration to educate students, athletes, coaches, trainers, teachers and caretakers about the dangers of opioid misuse and abuse. This program is designed to inform and inspire youth while trying to prevent them from becoming a statistic.

In the Library with Louie: Louie is teaming up with the St. Louis County Public Library to visit different libraries in the St. Louis metro area. Louie will go over L.I.F.E. Goals (learning, imagination, fueling your body, and exercising) with the visitors of the library. Kids attending the ‘In the Library with Louie’ event have the opportunity to answer hockey riddles, discuss their favorite healthy foods and snacks, complete exercises with Louie and more.

Schenn’s Friends: Patients and families of St. Louis Children’s Hospital have the opportunity to attend select home games at Enterprise Center courtesy of Brayden Schenn. In addition, each family will get to watch warm-ups from the Blues bench.

Little Blues: The St. Louis Blues have partnered with the NHL and NHLPA to create Little Blues, a low-cost learn-to-play program that allows kids to experience hockey for the first time. This seven-week introduction to hockey program is intended for children ages 4-9 that have not yet participated in organized youth hockey.

Friends of Kids with Cancer & Jaden Schwartz– To honor and remember his sister Mandi, Jaden Schwartz has invited families that have experienced the loss of a sibling to select Blues home games at Enterprise Center. Each family that attends receives a gift package and postgame meet and greet with Jaden Schwartz.

Street Blues: The St. Louis Blues are proud to announce the Street Blues initiative, a free ball hockey program aimed to get elementary and middle school-aged children interested in the game of hockey. This program offers area schools a PE class curriculum and after-school activity that is a fast-paced alternative to traditional PE class units.
