Michelle is serving on Panel 5-Fundraising: Events, Grants and Solicitations
Michelle Stroud is the Director of Development for Dare2tri, an organization that serves as the premier model for paratriathlon programs across the world. She is responsible for building a diverse development practice to support the organization’s growth into its second decade, including major gift and foundation giving, events, sponsorships, grant writing, and individual appeals.
Michelle has extensive experience in the advertising, consulting, and non-profit industries, where she developed a robust portfolio of skills in marketing communications, fundraising, board development, strategy, and planning.
After stints in New York, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Mexico City, Michelle returned home to Chicagoland in 2011. Never far from water, she coached swimming at her local YMCA, where she earned her credentials as a USA Swimming Level II coach and began her journey as a triathlete and competitive open water swimmer.
Prior to finding her dream job at Dare2tri, she was most recently a Major Gifts Officer at Boys Hope Girls Hope of IL. Michelle lives in Evanston with her husband Steve and their two rescued German Shepherds.
