SPN Webinar #13–Players Philanthropy Fund–Fiscal Sponsorships

We were pleased to have a fantastic presentation from Seth McDonnell and Matt Stover from Players Philanthropy Fund. Serving over 150 organizations, Players Philanthropy Fund uses a fiscal sponsorship model for most of its clients in order to help ease administrative burdens and reduce risks.

Matt and Seth explained how it took over three years to get the IRS to initially improve their structure but now they are help organizations by providing the oversight and support infrastructure.

While many athletes and organizations believe that they need to be 501(c)(3) or Donor Advised Funds, Seth and Matt explain how a Fiscal Sponsorship model would be less expensive and provide greater protection.
