Stand together is the relationship that the Portland Thorns and Timbers FC hold to signify the commitment the organization has to being champions on the field, and in the Portland area community.

PROGRAMS:
GIRLS OF THE GAME- After the Thorns postgame walk, young women are selected by the Stand Together partners for their work and dedication to the Thorns FC to be “Girls of the Game.” The selected girls get to present roses to each Thorns player that scored a goal and also to their keeper when they record a shutout.
GIRL STRONG CLINIC – Stand Together host the Girl Strong Clinic at Providence Park, where young women are encouraged to lead a healthy life, while also being positive role models to their communities. These young women also receive a tour of the Providence Sports Care Center, and get to meet and greet with Thorns players, all while receiving a day of empowerment.
TIX FOR KIDS – The Thorns also offer free game tickets to youth focused non-profit organizations, through the help of various sponsors.
PORTLAND THORNS ACADEMY – The Portland Thorns Academy is a soccer club offered by the Portland Thorns FC that embraces young women athletes and encourages them to pursue a career in professional sports. The Portland Thorns Academy has resulted in many young women and former members of the academy to commit to various colleges and universities to pursue their career.
MISSION – The Portland Thorns Academy encompasses a holistic and goal-driven program to empower female athletes to maximize their potential, build confidence, and create leaders. Their integrated approach is focused on providing a pathway to collegiate, professional, and national team opportunities.
