Join us for S3:EP12 of the Sports Philanthropy Podcast as Corrine Milien, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Winning Edge Leadership Academy, sits down with our host, Roy Kessel, to discuss how her time working with Pat Summitt and ESPN impacted her work in creating greater diversity for female and minority minds.

As the co-founder and executive director of The Winning Edge Leadership Academy, Corinne Milien is devoted to building diversity in sports business, media and entertainment by cultivating the next generation of women and minority leaders.

Corinne previously worked as an event supervisor with ESPN Events managing up to five of ESPN’s 30 owned and operated events a year including ESPN’s college basketball double header Champions Classic, Armed Forces Classic, College Football Awards Show, MEAC/SWAC Challenge, and Celebration Bowl.

She also served honorably in the US Air Force spending time stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany before attending the US Air Force Academy Prep school and the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

In 2010, she graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Sports Management then took her talents to Knoxville, Tennessee to serve as the legendary Pat Summitt’s last graduate assistant and recruiting coordinator for the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team while earning a master’s in Sports Management.  Corinne is a proud product of two Haitian immigrant parent and owner of an American Dingo named Drake.

The Winning Edge Leadership Academy develops the next generation of diverse leaders in the sports and entertainment business by providing an influential network, work force training, and financial resources. Launched in 2015, as a nonprofit organization and social movement, The Winning Edge Leadership Academy is altering the career and life trajectories of our Game Changers – while increasing the talent pipeline for organizations leading the way in sports and entertainment.
