Melissa has always had a passion and a love for sports and helping others. She is an avid athlete and over the years put her efforts into sport philanthropy through scholarship, volunteerism and career.

Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Woman Gender Studies from Dickinson College.

She followed her passion for philanthropic work as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working for the development team for a non-profit youth organization.

She continued her studies earning a Masters of Science degree in Sport Management with a specialization in Sport-Based Youth Development from Adelphi University.

Melissa believes sports is at the intersection of community, physical health and emotional intelligence; working in sports philanthropy provides opportunity for youths and collateral benefits for partners, social networks and communities.
