Hall of Fame Game Kicks Off NFL Season

Hot muggy conditions preceded the launch of the 2024 NFL Football Season.  The Chicago Bears and Houston Texans took to the field to launch Enshrinement Weekend which always features a star-studded array of professional athletes and other celebrities. While the Exhibition Game is the first event, it rarely captures a lot of attention as the focus around Canton turns to the Enshrinees and their stories.

Sports Philanthropy Network is always on-site to cover the events and speak with the elite athletes that include current and former enshrinees.

The night was interrupted by violent storms which included lightning and prevented the teams from staying on the field and necessitated a complete evacuation of the stands.

For the coaches, though they may have lost the opportunity to see how some of their new players performed, they are frequently happier to be able to escape from a pre-season game without any injuries.
