Community

FIELD DEVELOPMENT

Within the last ten years, the FC Dallas Foundation and many of its partners have built pitches around Dallas, Collin and Denton counties. These fields work to provide well-lit environments to facilitate active lifestyles for underserved youth. The foundation continues to work towards this goal and just added a full-sized soccer field at My Possibilities July 28, 2021. This field is the FC Dallas Foundation’s 10th field in the last ten years.

HOMEGROWN PARTNER PROGRAM

The FC Dallas Foundation has committed substantial financial donations to Black and Minority-owned businesses through its Homegrown Partner Program. The program, which is supported by MTX, provides five DFW-based businesses in the community with customized FC Dallas corporate partnership packages. Through this partnership, they provide access to DFW business leaders, athletes and executives as well as marketing, entertainment and commercial growth opportunities for each business. The 2021 FC Dallas Family includes Casa M Spice Co, GRIT Fitness, Reveal Suits, Smokey John’s Bar-B-Que, Urban Hydration and MTX Group Inc.

The Gear Up Project

Through the Gear Up Project, the FC Dallas Foundation collects new and gently used soccer gear from organizations, teams, clubs and individuals to redistribute around the DFW area and beyond. This program helps disadvantaged youth enjoy the sport they love, soccer.

The Gear Up Project needs:

  • Cleats
  • Shin Guards
  • Soccer balls
  • Pennies
  • Cones
  • Soccer jerseys (clean)

FC DALLAS FOUNDATION COMMUNITY ACTION GRANT PROGRAM

The FC Dallas Foundation developed a grant program in order to promote healthy, active lifestyles for underserved communities in the North Texas area. Through their partnership with CornerStone Staffing, the foundation is able to present each grant recipient a $5,000 grant. Requirements include:

  1. Provide opportunities for underserved individuals and communities

  2. Serve those in the local North Texas community

  3. Focus on nutrition, healthy activity, and education

FC Dallas Foundation’s Community Action Grant program will begin accepting applications for the 2022 Grant Cycle in November.
