WELCOME TO THE ACADEMY

The Nuggets Basketball Academy encourages learning through fundamentals, individual improvement, team building, and growing the game of basketball in our communities. Our goal is to connect our youth to Nuggets basketball through fun memorable experiences with emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.

VISION

Whether you are a beginner interested in learning about basketball, a High School player looking for additional instruction, an adult looking to connect with the game, or are interested in joining the Nuggets community, we have a program for you! Our academy is not limited to on the court action. We offer programs for all ages, abilities, and interests.

Connect all Coloradans to a safe and fun environment to play, learn, and create lasting relationships through Denver Nuggets Basketball.

KIDS CLUB

The Denver Nuggets Kids Club inspires the next generation of fans by connecting youth to the culture of our team. With exclusive access to youth programs, content, and retail offers, Kids Club members will learn first-hand the values of the Nuggets organization, become young leaders, and help to grow the game of basketball in their communities. Kroenke Sports Charities hosted the annual Mile High Dreams Gala – A Toast to Our Teams on November 6, 2019, at Pepsi Center. The unique event gave fans the opportunity to mix and mingle with players from Colorado teams.

Nuggets Social is Monday, March 16th at Vehicle Vault. This event gives fans the opportunity to spend an interactive evening with Nuggets players, coaches, alumni, SuperMascot Rocky and Dancers while enjoying elaborate food, libations, casino games, photo station and live jazz. Proceeds benefit Kroenke Sports Charities youth recreation, health and education programs in Colorado.

In the fall of 2014, the Denver Nuggets became the second NBA team to partner with Learn Fresh and implement the NBA Math Hoops community program. The experience features a basketball board game and NBA season-like curriculum that allows students to learn fundamental math skills through their favorite players’ statistics. This event occurs annually every March. 

The Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge sponsored by Conoco will test more than 3,000 children from Colorado, Kansas, and South Dakota in local dribbling, passing, and shooting skills competitions from December to January to win the opportunity to move onto sectional competitions in February. Winners of the sectional competitions will advance to the State Finals. State finals participants attend a Denver Nuggets game where the State Champions are honored on the scoreboard during the game.
