The last year has brought many changes. The pandemic reminded us how we can overcome obstacles by leaning on one another. Amazing things happen when people work together—things that would not be possible without our SPN supporters getting involved and giving back. We set aside our fundraising goals during the pandemic and rolled up our sleeves to create immediate and necessary impact for the nonprofits we serve. We hosted Sports Philanthropy World 2021 virtually with 400+ attendees, 173 speakers/panelists, 203 organizations and 26 countries. We hosted the Executive Director Mastermind and the Fundraising Mastermind. We attended countless in person and virtual events to highlight sports philanthropy. In addition, we produced three podcast episodes a week to create hope and possibility through sports.
There is still so much work to do in 2022. We know that opening 24 additional local SPN chapters across the country will give organizations the tools they need to meet their target goals for sports philanthropy. We are planning to host Sports Philanthropy World 2022 in person. We are furthering our reach and mission to educate and support local nonprofits. We will continue to produce three podcasts per week. Most importantly, we are growing to become the preeminent network that unites sport nonprofits with athletes/teams/governing bodies and donors/sponsors. This is a tall order that requires your participation.
Your support of Sports Philanthropy Network before December 31st ensures we will continue to rise to the challenges, the opportunities and the moments that build stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities. Your gift counts you among the supporters of our ambitious Live Generously Campaign which seeks to raise $100,000 and inspire and engage 1,000 new donors.
Together, we create hope and possibility through sports for the people who need it most. Thank you for considering a gift of support to Sports Philanthropy Network during this season of giving.
