D.C. United Spotlight

D.C. United are committed to making a positive and measurable impact in the lives of children and families in the DMV region. Their primary focus is the support programs and initiatives focused on health & wellness, inclusivity, and community improvement.

Programs

PG County Library System

This is a one-of-a-kind partnership which features free access to bilingual English/Spanish content including workout videos for kids, bi-weekly Ask Me Anything events with D.C. United players, and bi-monthly virtual story time for children ages 2-8 through.

At-Home Workout Challenge

D.C. United and The Mayor of Washington have teamed up to create a 10-day-at-home workout challenge, free for all D.C. residents, to help improve physical and mental wellness.  These works are led by D.C. United coaches and players.  Each day there is a different focus ranging from upper body and core exercises to cardio and stretching.

#UniteTheDistrict Player-Led Fundraiser

D.C. United’s first team has come together to form a targeted effort, #UniteTheDistrict, to raise funds to support the local nonprofit, Martha’s Table, in their commitment to protecting the health and well being of the D.C community.

DC SCORES

DC SCORES is the official Community Partner of D.C. United.  It creates neighborhood teams that give kids in need the skills and confidence to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom, and in life.  They use an innovative model that combines soccer, poetry, and service learning.  DC SCORES serves over 3,000 children within the District.

D.C. United and Kaiser Permanente, the Official Healthcare Partner of D.C. United, are teaming up to raise awareness and share helpful resources to promote and support mental health and holistic well-being. Whether it’s on the field, in the office, or at home, we all face difficult times and challenges.

It’s okay to not always feel okay and we all deserve that outlet. If you, a loved one, or someone you find is in need of support you can visit the below local resources.

In emergency situations, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or text WORDS to 741741
