Colorado Rapids Spotlight

MISSION:

The Colorado Rapids Organization does work with Kroenke Sports Charities. Their mission is improving the lives through the spirit and power of sports. As an organization, they work with communities through education, health and fitness, athletic programs, and direct aid to help families, children, veterans, and the disabled.

PROGRAMS:

KSE Community Pride Ticket Program- 

Provides tickets to nonprofit organizations that serve children, public servants, and community and civic groups that may not have the chance to ever go to a professional game.

giveSPORTS Equipment Drive-

Donators are able to clean out their homes in order to give used equipment to underserved children and adults for them to join sports. Cash donations are also matched by Patch my PC, and donors receive tax donations receipts and 25% off their purchases at AltitudeAuthentics.com.

 

Dare to Play Soccer Program-

Collaboration between the Colorado Rapids, Global Down Syndrome Foundation, and Regis University Men’s Soccer. The program allows both males and females, ages 7 and up, with down syndrome to learn soccer from college and professional athletes.

 

 KSE Employee Day of Service- Bi-annual days of service are done by providing volunteer opportunities in Denver.

KultureCity-

The Colorado Rapids partnered with KultureCity to make DICK’S Sporting Goods Park universally accessible. They provide guests with autism and other sensory needs to experience a fun and exciting game day. Guests can rent sensory bags that include headphones, a feeling thermometer, and fidget accessories. Family rooms, also known as “quiet rooms,” are available for guests to take a break from the action and enjoy some relaxation.

Soccer for All- 

Emphasizes driving positive social change and end discrimination. They do this through the Special Olympics, anti-bullying programs, girls and women leadership events, LGBTQ Pride Nights, and health and wellness activities.
