Clemson Tigers Organizational Spotlight

Background: The Clemson University Foundation, chartered in 1933, is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that promotes the welfare and future development of Clemson University. We seek financial support through annual gifts, capital campaigns, planned giving and other ongoing fund-raising programs.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Clemson University Foundation is to support Clemson University by promoting growth and stewardship of resources entrusted to us which fulfill our covenants with donors.

Active Programs and Involvements:

  • Clemson University students are partnering with industry leaders in an effort to create sustainable solutions for the lifecycle of vehicles. Sponsored by ExxonMobil, graduate automotive engineering students in the university’s flagship Deep Orange program will develop a next-generation sustainable concept vehicle.
  • Duke Energy committed $400,000 dollars to outfit the “Explore Mobile Lab” that will drive across South Carolina to offer student focused activities in science and math to show how these subject are important in real life.
