Ben Zobrist tackles Mental Health for youth athletes

Ben Zobrist hosted the Night of Impact for Champion Forward on September 5, 2024 at Gallery Marchetti in Chicago.  A beautiful early night turned into a heavy rainstorm but Ben had perfectly timed the event so the inside presentations occurred during the rain.

The focus of the night were conversations about the importance of mental health for young athletes.  Ben spoke about how the lack of mental health support was a huge issue for him and it was something that would have been extremely useful for him. Despite his on-field successes, Ben discussed the challenges of not “being happy” and spoke about the need to help young athletes learn the skills and understand the support mechanisms.

Champion Forward has developed some terrific tools that help young athletes can be trained to use in facilitated conversations in order to assist them with the process.
